The famous Cat & Fiddle is an islotated Robinson’s pub situated on the main A537 Macclesfield to Buxton road in the hills built in 1830 by Macclesfield Banker John Ryle after the new A357 completed. At 1690ft it is the 2nd highest pub in the UK, you might remember it from the original ‘Everest’ advert. We can cater for all who venture over the pass with Carvery, Lounge Bar, & Walkers Bar with pool table. Our beer is excelent condition and we can also take in-house guests, we are very popular with motorcyclists and walkers.
