Where were the Council Gritters?

High Peak Borough Council has been criticised for not gritting roads and pavements across Buxton and High Peak.

Even HPBC’s Labour Group Leader Councillor Caitlin Bisknell is reported as commenting on the poor level of gritting on side roads and pavements.

The severe heavy snow and freezing weather conditions has caused icy roads across much of the UK.

About Buxton News can confirm that no gritting in or between Buxton, the A6 and Tideswell had appeared to have taken place on Saturday 19th December (between the hours of 4.00pm and 3.00am the following morning.)
